The TWA Hotel

A few months ago, I took a trip back in time & visited the TWA HOTEL out in New York City over at JFK Airport Terminal 5. If you love the period of flying in the 1950’s & 60’s, then this is a must see while visiting NYC. The minute you step into the terminal you get this sense of nostalgia with whimsical decor.

The terminal was initially opened in May of 1962 and designed by architect  Eero Saarinen. The abandoned beauty was restored & reopened as the TWA HOTEL in May of 2019. The design details are on point.. If you are in the mood for lunch or dinner, take a walk over to the  Paris Cafe By Chef Jean Georges.

They also have a rooftop pool where you can overlook the runway.  Last, but not least, don’t miss out on the impressive cocktail lounge inside of a Lockheed Constellation L-1649A airplane. It’s a must see.

On this adventure. I went with a few good friends Skinny Was Here , Kivvi Roberts & Cesarin Mateo . All the photos of me were taken by Skinny Was Here. Here are a few things we captured during our visit. The link to the hotel is located below.

“We were inspired by the beauty of the space.”
If you love design & architecture. It’s a must see.

Fasten up your seatbelts. Here are a few photos from our stroll to the Lockheed Constellation L-1649A airplane. I enjoyed the red interior very much. Go in relax in one of the seats & have your favorite cocktail or beer.
